Getting started with Banter Plugin Hub

Everything you need to install the hub, manage plugins and fix common issues.

Installation

Banter Plugin Hub runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Make sure BanterVR is installed before you start.

  1. Download the installer from the download section.
  2. Run BanterPluginHub-Setup.exe and follow the wizard.
  3. Launch the hub from your Start menu or desktop shortcut.
๐Ÿ’ก If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning for a new release, choose More info โ†’ Run anyway. Every build is checksum-listed on the changelog.

First run

On first launch the hub scans for your BanterVR installation automatically. If it can't find it, you can set the path manually:

  • Open Settings โ†’ BanterVR path.
  • Browse to your BanterVR install folder and confirm.

Installing plugins

Open the Library tab to browse available community plugins. Each card shows the rating, install count and a short description.

  • Click Install to add a plugin โ€” it's enabled automatically.
  • Toggle the switch to enable or disable a plugin without removing it.
  • Click Remove to uninstall and clean up its files.

Updating & profiles

When a plugin has a newer version, an Update badge appears next to it. Click it to update, or use Update all at the top of the Library.

Profiles

Save a set of enabled plugins as a profile and switch between them instantly โ€” handy for different worlds or performance targets.

Performance panel

The optional Performance Panel plugin shows live FPS, memory and CPU usage as a compact overlay so you can tune your setup while in-app.

Troubleshooting

The hub can't find BanterVR

Set the path manually under Settings, or reinstall BanterVR in its default location.

A plugin fails to load

Disable it, restart the hub, then re-enable it. If it still fails, report it on the Support Center with the log file from %AppData%/BanterHub/logs.
