This Privacy Policy explains how Banter Plugin Hub ("we", "the hub") handles information when you use our desktop application and website. Banter Plugin Hub is a community project and is not affiliated with BanterVR.
1. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible.
- App data stored locally: your settings, installed-plugin list and profiles are stored on your own computer.
- Anonymous usage stats (optional): if you opt in, we collect anonymized, aggregate data such as app version and crash reports to improve stability.
- Support messages: if you contact us, we receive the name, email and message you provide.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect your BanterVR account credentials, passwords, payment details or the contents of your worlds or chats.
3. How we use information
- To operate and improve the hub.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To respond to your support requests.
4. Cookies
The website uses only essential local storage to remember your theme preference. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Third-party plugins
Plugins are made by independent community creators and may have their own behavior and terms. Review each plugin before installing it.
6. Data retention
Optional crash and usage data is retained only as long as needed to diagnose issues. You can disable it at any time in Settings.
7. Your choices
- Opt out of anonymous stats in Settings.
- Clear local data by uninstalling the hub.
- Request deletion of support correspondence via the Support Center.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
